DUBAI (ots) – The 86th edition of the Thessaloniki International Fair ended on a positive note: 212,000 visitors were counted, beating the previous record of 85 years. Visitors from the host country Greece and all over the world flocked to Greece’s second largest city to mingle, trade, browse or be part of the festive atmosphere.
The United Arab Emirates was represented by a total of 65 exhibiting companies, including private and public institutions. With the participation of the Federation of Greek Industry (SBE), more than 1,000 business meetings were held, attended by many companies.
UAE companies attending the 86th TIF came from investment management, aviation, energy, food and beverage, defense, aerospace, tourism, maritime, real estate and more sectors.
The UAE House, with its delegation led by the Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Mari, was the main attraction of the honorable country and visitors had the opportunity to taste what the country has to offer.
“The participation of the United Arab Emirates in this exhibition was in line with the government’s plans to develop strategic relations with the friendly Hellenic Republic and strengthen relations in various important areas. It was an opportunity to reach new markets and establish strategic cooperation, trade and investment and make work. in other areas of mutual interest. In addition, the great event provided an opportunity to build strategic relationships, set a path for cooperation and highlight the efforts and strategic plans of the Authority in the field of aviation and the economy in general,” he said .
