The Motor Transport Authority (KBA) reported in its database that 10,254 lorries in Germany might have been impacted. It has to do with cars from the production duration from October 2020 to June 2022, stated a business representative at the demand in Stuttgart.
The car manufacturer found that wetness might enter the signal acquisition and control module (SAM) if water entered into the trunk. A possible brief circuit can trigger numerous breakdowns. “Among other things, the outside light at the back of the vehicle might stop working, the rear seats might open without inspiration and the rear electronic camera might not be readily available,” the representative stated. According to the KBA, the fire danger can not be identified either.
As a preventive procedure, the afflicted automobiles will be refitted with a cover over the SAM to avoid possible water ingress, the representative stated. The keynote workshop session lasts about one hour. Mercedes-Benz will inform consumers in composing, who must make a consultation instantly.
Mercedes shares are noted in routine XETRA trading 2.06 percent lower at 56.15 euros.
