An entrepreneur of FCA Poland SA in Bielsko-Biała told the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection that in Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, there may be a loss of magnetic material attached to the phonetic wheel that generates crankshaft position sensor signals. In this case, the engine loses its ability to synchronize the injector pulses with the cam phases. This can cause the engine to stall and lose the ability to restart it. Loss of driving power can cause an accident without warning signs.
1,019 vehicles are under the repair campaign.
The entrepreneur announced that car owners will be invited by letter to authorized Service Centers to check and, if necessary, replace the fuel line.
