Softball Falls in Series Finale at Loyola Chicago, 7-2

The softball group rounded off its series at Loyola Chicago with a 7-2 loss in the ending. The loss was the 3rd in a row for the group, as they dropped their last 4 series.

The video game left to a rough start for the group, as Loyola scored 3 times in the bottom of the very first inning. The Ramblers included 2 more runs in the 3rd prior to the group lastly got on the board in the top of the 4th. The group had the ability to scratch out a run in the frame as they cut the result in 5-1.

Unfortunately, that was as close as the group would get, as Loyola included 2 more runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 7-1 lead. The group handled another run in the top of the seventh however it wasn’t enough as they dropped the video game by a last rating of 7-2.

The group was led offensively by senior outfielder Jenna Mancini, who had 2 hits in the video game. Senior infielder Kelsie Cook likewise included a hit for the group in the loss.

The group will aim to return in the win column as they head to Oakland for a three-game series this weekend. The group will want to return on track as they deal with a difficult Golden Grizzlies group. The group will require to be at the top of their video game if they wish to have any opportunity at returning in the win column.
