The Plymouth Barracuda is an American sports muscle car developed by the Plymouth division of Chrysler and produced between 1964 and 1974. Early models were based on the same chassis as the Valiant, but later adopted a special chassis designed for downsizing.
This car first started as a large two-door four-seat coupe, which was introduced in 1964 as a longer and more luxurious version of the Valiant. The Barracuda originally had a 6-cylinder engine and produced up to 225 hp. In 1965, Chrysler introduced a 4.5 liter 275 hp V8, which allowed the car to be more powerful.
