In an interview with Joanna Stern of The Wall Street Journal, Ford CEO Jim Farley opened about the future of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in his cars. “70 percent of our Ford consumers in the United States are Apple consumers. Why should I go to an Apple client and want them well?” Farley is describing, to name a few things, GM’s strategies to drop assistance for Android Auto and CarPlay beginning this year. GM’s next infotainment system will be co-developed with Google, Apple will be neglected one method or another.
Starting in 2023, Apple prepares to present a brand-new generation of CarPlay that will provide much deeper combination in brand-new cars for producers who wish to continue using CarPlay as an alternative.
