M’s anniversary is also celebrated in India in a special fashion. The BMW M340i xDrive serves as the basis here.
50 years of BMW M is not just a celebration in Germany. The BMW sports department delights its fans around the world. To celebrate the anniversary in style, the Bavarians are launching a special model based on the BMW M340i xDrive for the Indian market.
The version wears a lot of black
In India, too, it carries 387 hp and 500 Nm with a powerful three-liter in-line six-cylinder with turbocharging under the hood, which is combined with an all-wheel drive. In addition, there is a range of special M accessories inside and out as well as M accessories for the chassis, brakes, steering and M sport differential.
For 50 years of the M Edition, BMW is adding more here and there. With the Shadow Line, the window surrounds, for example, have a black top, which can also be found on the covers on the exterior mirrors and the radiator grille with the environment. The black color also marks the appearance of special 19-inch rims in a five-twin design. The headlights have Laserline technology.
More isolation only at additional cost
However, the design of the version can be made more exclusive with the additional M packages. On request, the exterior mirrors can be dressed with carbon fiber covers, and the side skirts have matt black inserts from the performance range. A carbon spoiler lip for the boot lid and a carbon spoiler lip for the front apron also come from it. Optionally, the front apron can be further improved with black add-ons.
A carbon steering wheel with an Alcantara cover moves to the cockpit for an additional charge. Next on the list are the dashboard applications made of carbon fiber laminate and the main case finished with carbon and Alcantara.
The M 50th Anniversary Edition of the 3 Series is available in India with prices starting at around 84,000 euros.
