Citroen C5 Aircross, equipped with advanced camera system, sensors and autonomous driving management system, was photographed in Europe. In this way, the brand tests the latest solutions that will soon be available as accessories for its vehicles.
“The measurement technology built into the test vehicles processes video from cameras facing outside. These cameras collect real-time images of public traffic,” informs the producer. “The above data are stored and processed for the purposes of innovative projects, usually for a period of three to five years. In the event of the development of some new driving assistance systems, we may be required to store certain vehicle data in the databases memory for 10 years after the model was stopped, in a civil case.

“Test vehicles of Stellantis are driven on test grounds, but also on public roads. They are equipped with sensors and measuring instruments as well as a video measuring technique, thanks to which they can photograph the environment of public roads. – adds Stellantis.

The Citroen C5 Aircross test was photographed in Innsbruck, Austria. The car was equipped, among others, with sensors at the back of the car to enable autonomous driving, meaning that it is highly likely that software to control the car’s behavior on the road was tested.
Previously, Citroen tested autonomous systems, incl. on the C4 Picasso. A few years ago it was a fully autonomous car that could move without the driver’s participation. Compared to it, the C5 Aircross has a very simplified and reduced gauge set.
The Citroen C5 Aircross is characterized by a classic interior and exceptional ride comfort thanks to the continuous hydraulic suspension. There is no competition in its class in this regard. The price of this SUV from PLN 128,500.
