A 19- year-old Round Lake Park citizen was hung on a $500,000 bond Friday after being charged with running away cops, belongings of a gatling gun, and other weapons-related offenses.
According to authorities, the suspect, whose identity is being kept due to his age, led officers on a pursuit Thursday eve being nabbed in the early hours of Friday early morning.
The chase started when officers tried to examine a report of a suspicious individual in a vehicle around 11 p.m. Thursday. When the officers approached, the suspect apparently repelled, starting the pursuit.
The chase ended in the morning hours with the suspect’s arrest. Throughout the pursuit, cops saw what seemed a gatling gun in the suspect’s vehicle. Upon more examination, they found that the suspect remained in ownership of a gatling gun and other unlawful weapons.
The suspect was consequently charged with leaving authorities, belongings of a gatling gun, and other weapons-related offenses. He was hung on a $500,000 bond Friday.
The accused is set up to appear in court next month. If founded guilty, he deals with an optimum charge of 10 years in jail and a fine of as much as $250,000
